SMO

Site management, as its own service.

Alongside feasibility and study management, we also operate as a Site Management Organisation — placing our own trained clinical staff directly at investigator sites, not just overseeing them from outside.

What an SMO does

Dedicated staff, on site, not oversight from a distance.

Site staffing
Study coordinators and research nurses placed directly at the investigator site — trained on the protocol before the site's first patient, not learning it on the job.
Consistent standards
The same SOPs, training and quality bar across every site in the network, so performance doesn't depend on which site happened to have experienced staff already.
One point of accountability
If a site is underperforming, the answer isn't "escalate to the site" — it's us, because the staff running the day-to-day are ours.

Why it matters

Sites without their own research staff can still run trials.

Plenty of good clinical sites don't have in-house coordinators or research nurses — that's not a reason to rule them out. An SMO model lets us bring qualified, trained staff to a capable site rather than limiting a study to sites that already happen to be staffed for research.

Who this is for

Sponsors who want fewer variables, not more vendors.

SMO sits alongside feasibility and site management, run by the same team rather than handed to a separate subcontractor — useful when a protocol needs a site that's capable but under-resourced, or when a sponsor wants one organisation accountable for both site selection and site performance.

  • Sites without dedicated research staff
  • Multi-country studies needing consistency
  • Protocols with demanding visit schedules
  • Sponsors consolidating vendors
